Upgrades/Failures

Upgrades:

• 'Winder to NEXCOM to PC Engines
• Linksys WAP11 to Linksys WRT54G to TP-Link Archer C1200
• ADSL to cable modem

Due to hardware failures the system is on it's:

• third ADSL modem
  • First modem didn't fail, it just became obsolete (1Mb only)
  • Second modem failed
  • Third modem was retired still working
• third switch
  • Second switch was fine but I upgraded to a gigabit switch
• fifth disk
  • 1 for 'Winder... which is dying
  • 3 for NEXCOM
  • 1 for PC Engines
• third UPS battery

Went through four ADSL ISPs... but still kept the same static IP for 18 years: dsl.ca -> wiznet -> magma -> primus.

I have now switched to cable and start.ca.
