This wallet is a modification of the first wallet. It replaces two of the credit card slots from the first wallet with a coin pocket. This is a good everyday wallet.

Instructions

  1. Make a sheet 9" by 6 ¾". It is important that the sheet have two good edges. If the sheet looks like it will be too long, cut the sheet to the correct length before putting on the last piece of tape and folding over.
  2. Fold the sheet so that the front is 1/8" lower than the back. This is the body of the wallet.
  3. Wallet Sheet Create a sheet 9 ¼" by 6 ½" for the two credit card slots and the coin pocket. The sheet needs two good edges, If the sheet looks like it will be too long, cut the sheet to the correct length before putting on the last piece of tape and folding over.

Note: You could create two sheets: one 3 ¼" by 6 ¼" and one 6" by 6 ½". I prefer one big sheet so that is what I show. Hey, it's my website!

In the accompanying image, it is assumed that the top and bottom edges are the good edges. It is very important that each slot have a good edge on the 3 ¼" side. Cut any extra length from the middle as shown.
  4. Wallet Take the larger of the credit card pieces and place it on the wallet as shown. Make sure the good edge is towards the middle. Tape along the upper edge. I use a half width of duct tape for this.

Take the remaining credit card piece and place it on the wallet as shown. Make sure the good edge is towards the middle. Tape along the upper edge. Again, I use a half width of duct tape for this.
  5. Tape both sides of the wallet. Yes, I tape the right side before putting the coin pocket on.
  6. Coin PocketTo make the coin pocket, cut the sheet on the red lines to get an outline as show. Cut the front a little longer (1/8") than the back. Fold on the yellow lines. Fold the sides in. Fold the bottom up and tape the sides. Do not tape the sides too flat to the pocket, you want room in the pocket for coins.
  7. Put the coin pocket flush to the right and bottom of the wallet. Tape the coin pocket into the wallet by the sides. This leaves a nice pocket behind the coin pocket.
  8. Fold a big piece of tape along the bottom of the wallet. Make sure you leave room to put a credit card in the slots
  9. Optional: Temporarily tape the coin pocket closed and wear to set the folds properly.
